'City in a Park' features Crossroads Movies in the Park

Sewage Overflow Alert

Due to a Mercer Island sewage overflow, the Enatai Beach Park swim area is closed until 3:30 p.m. on April 16. Chesterfield Beach Park, SE 40th Street Boat Launch, and Burrows Landing are also closed to swimming. Users of non-motorized watercraft should use caution and avoid the affected area.

The movies and popcorn are on us at the fifth annual Crossroads Movies in the Park Thursdays in August.

A 40-foot screen transforms Crossroads Park, 16130 NE Eight St. (adjacent to Fire Station 3) into a movie theatre for the following PG rated films:

Aug. 4: Inside Out
Aug. 11: Minions
Aug. 18: Good Dinosaur
Aug. 25: McFarland, USA

Free family activities such as games, crafts and activities for children kick off at 7:30 p.m. Movies start at dusk, weather permitting.
