The City of Bellevue is extending the application deadline for community service providers to apply for 2021-2022 human services funding. The deadline is now May 5 due to impacts from the coronavirus.

Bellevue funds local organizations who serve the full spectrum of human service needs. This can include food security, housing and homelessness prevention, health, mental health, and youth services.

Human service providers may apply to receive funding in the 2021-2022 period. The Bellevue Human Services Commission will review applications between April and July, and present funding recommendations to the City Council in the fall.

Selection factors include: priority based on community needs identified in the 2019-2020 Bellevue Human Services Needs Update, prior provider performance, diversity and cultural competence, and consideration of the broad continuum of human services.

To ensure the city is a good fiscal steward, contracts are awarded through a competitive process. Bellevue is a member of the Human Services Funders Collaborative, a group of 18 cities in King County that participates in a common application process to fund human services.
