Due to a Mercer Island sewage overflow, the Enatai Beach Park swim area is closed until 3:30 p.m. on April 16. Chesterfield Beach Park, SE 40th Street Boat Launch, and Burrows Landing are also closed to swimming. Users of non-motorized watercraft should use caution and avoid the affected area.

A kind of farmhouse with murals of Japanese American farmers from Bellevue on each side, the artwork by Michelle Kumata and Tani Ikeda will be on the library's second floor through 2027.
