Sewage Overflow Alert

Due to a Mercer Island sewage overflow, the Enatai Beach Park swim area is closed until 3:30 p.m. on April 16. Chesterfield Beach Park, SE 40th Street Boat Launch, and Burrows Landing are also closed to swimming. Users of non-motorized watercraft should use caution and avoid the affected area.

Promotion ceremony for two police officers

The Bellevue Police Department is pleased to announce the promotions of:

Corporal Benjamin Buck to lieutenant, Patrol Division; and
Officer Kevin Masseth to corporal, Patrol Division.

A promotion ceremony is set for Wednesday, Aug. 26, at 3 p.m. in City Hall (Council Chambers), 450 110 Ave. NE. Members of the public and media are invited and encouraged to attend.
