Water main replacement impacts NE 24th St

Sewage Overflow Alert

Due to a Mercer Island sewage overflow, the Enatai Beach Park swim area is closed until 3:30 p.m. on April 16. Chesterfield Beach Park, SE 40th Street Boat Launch, and Burrows Landing are also closed to swimming. Users of non-motorized watercraft should use caution and avoid the affected area.

Bellevue Utilities will replace an aging water main along Northeast 24th Street beginning Monday, Feb. 15, through May 31. The work will ensure a reliable water supply for residents.

During construction, the public can expect the following:

A work zone extending from 156th Avenue Northeast to 164th Avenue Northeast (construction map).
Construction work hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
Heavy equipment, delivery of materials, noise and traffic delays.
