Residents can get up-close and personal with native wildlife at Lewis Creek Park Saturday, during Bellevue's second annual Wildlife Baby Shower.
Sarvey Wildlife Care Center, a nonprofit organization in Arlington that cares for abandoned and injured wild animals rescued around the Puget Sound area, will bring rehabilitated animals for the shower, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Lewis Creek Visitor Center, 5808 Lakemont Blvd. SE. In-kind and monetary donations will be collected for Sarvey at the event.
In addition to interacting with the rescued animals, visitors can enjoy games, crafts, skits, scavenger hunts, ranger-guided walks, a wildlife presentation and a chance to win a raffle to help Sarvey with an official wildlife release.
All ages are welcome and are asked to bring food or other supply items to help care for baby wildlife. A suggested donation of $5 in lieu of a supply or food item is requested for each participant.
