• Pursuant to RCW 35.21.015, the City of Bellevue authorized creation of an Independent Salary Commission with the authority to set the salary of the members of the City Council. 

    In June 2024, the council appointed five people to serve on the commission and recommend a salary schedule by December 2024. The commission held several public meetings in the summer and fall and issued a resolution and filed a salary schedule on Oct. 30, 2024.
