The Northwest Arts Center provides year-round recreation and art-focused programming for all ages. Programs include: fitness, music, dance, martial arts, pottery and a wide variety of art programs. The 3,880 square-foot community center features multi-purpose meeting rooms and dance/art studio for rentals, community events, birthday parties and facility rentals. Off of Bellevue Way, on Northeast 24th Street, NWAC is conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood with ample parking.

Adaptive Recreation Fire Arts Class

Adaptive Recreation Fire Arts Class

This class is adapted and designed for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Enjoy the art of making pottery and glass fusion projects. Students will use their hands and minds to design, build, and create. All new participants must meet with Northwest Arts Center Staff prior to registering. Please contact us to schedule an appointment.

  • Fridays, April 18-May 23

Facepainting Workshop

Parent/Child Facepainting Workshop

Join this one-day workshop to learn basic facepainting! We'll go over supply needs, basic brush strokes and tip & tricks. We'll practice small cheek to full face designs. You're welcome to bring one child age 3+ to practice on for the practice portion of class.

  • Cost for One Parent & One Child:
    • $25 (Bellevue Resident)
    • $30 (Non-Resident)
  • Time: 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

The Northwest Arts Center is home to two outdoor sculptures - Visions of the Deep by Dudley Carter and Amore by John Kennedy. The tile mural is by Sepp Mayrhuber.

In the event of inclement weather, the City of Bellevue Parks & Community Services Department will make every effort to clearly communicate the status of facilities and programs, scheduled special events, and rentals. Administration will make an operational decision based upon the safety of participants and employees and the ability to appropriately staff programs and facilities.  

Some facilities may open on a modified schedule for drop-in activities. Call us at (425) 452-4106 for an updated status report. If you are unable to reach our facility, then call the Parks & Community Services Department general information number at (425) 452-6885 or visit the Parks homepage.

Inclement weather can affect park use and trail conditions. Please use caution when visiting park sites during poor weather as trails and other park facilities may become wet and slippery. Park trails may also be closed.

Bellevue Parks & Community Services offers arts, fitness and educational programming at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bellevue's Main Club (209 100th Avenue NE), conveniently located across the street from the west side of the Downtown Park.
