Police chief makes plea to Chinese community

There are reports in the media, on social media and spreading throughout the community that people of Chinese heritage are increasingly becoming targets of hate crimes and being blamed for COVID-19.

Two teenage overdoses prompt fentanyl warning

Bellevue police detectives are investigating where two Bellevue High School students obtained suspected fentanyl, resulting in non-fatal overdoses over the Feb. 22-23 weekend.
These pills are not actually Percocet. Fakes laced with fentanyl nearly killed Bellevue High students recently.

Police add Narcan as life-saving tool

With opioid overdoses still on the rise regionally, Bellevue police officers are now equipped with the anti-overdose drug Narcan. Nasal Naloxone, more commonly called Narcan, blocks opioid receptors in the brain, immediately counteracting the life-threatening effects of an opioid overdose.

Homicide suspects arrested

Bellevue Police have arrested four individuals suspected of participating in a homicide at Goldsmith Park in April, the first murder in the city in more than three years.
